As we head into the festive season, Barbakan Deli continues to do what it has always done best: craft high-quality, handmade food without compromise, says Managing Director Frankie Dyer
In a year defined by rising costs and industry pressures, we’ve focused on smart, sustainable growth that protects the artisan values our customers trust.
This winter, we’re expanding our offer with curated hampers and gift trays, alongside market stalls at local Christmas fairs, bringing our bakery and deli favourites directly into the community. We’re also encouraging teacher gift initiatives through local schools, widening our seasonal event-catering menus, refreshing our retail label designs, and increasing our reach through Uber Eats and Deliveroo — all strategic ways to grow revenue without increasing overheads.
At the heart of Barbakan, however, remains the strong sense of community that defines us. We continue our long-standing commitment to supporting local charities, sponsoring youth sports teams, hosting work-experience students from local colleges, and donating prizes to school PTAs to help raise vital funds.
Through every challenge and every new idea, we remain dedicated to craftsmanship, connection, and serving the community that has supported Barbakan for generations.
